Copper Core Flange Bushing

VTE has developed an innovative and unique solution for passing current through a barrier. Our Copper Core Flange Bushing brings new features, low cost and ease of use to yoru current passing applications.

High Energy Transfer
The Copper Core is cold swaged into a hex shape, providing high energy transfer performance. The conductive materials are placed exactly where needed, reducing cost and improving performance.
High Torque
Significant amounts of fastener torque is required when attaching multiple 4/0 ga (120mm2) cables. Brass shaft devices may fail under high torque loads. Our Copper Core Power Bushing uses a 2/8" (or 10mm) Nickel-plated steel shaft to provide high torque value.
High Anti-Rotation
Four mounting holes ensure secure mounting for anti-rotation. Bushing can use round or double-d hole for added anti-rotation and legacy applications. Inner copper core and shaft are swaged into a hex shape and inserted warm, to ensure tight fitting and high anti-rotation, providing 100% stability when fastening cables.
Multiple Weatherproof Options
Our CCFB can be ordered with a weatherproof gasket, as well as 232 Series Terminal Insulators. The insulators snap onto the groove ring to prevent accidental shorting, as well as weather resistance to IP65. Both sides of bushing can be insulated.
Low Production Cost
VTE has specifically designed a unique mold and assembly procedure for the Copper Core Flange Bushing. The entire process of molding and assembling is performed in one operation, at one station. This greatly reduces our labor cost, which greatly reduces the end cost to the customer.
Small Insulated Footprint
Our flange bushing allows the insulators to fit in a small footprint. Grooves are molded into the bushing to allow for our 232 Series terminal insulators to snap onto the bushing, creating a weatherproof seal.
